Lex Barberio is a queer artist from Miami with a lifetime in art and a decade of experience in advertising. After graduating at the top of their class in photography and creative direction from Miami Ad School in 2014, they moved to New York City, where they worked with major brands including ESPN, Cheetos, Pepsi, Footlocker, Lululemon, Meta, and Hot Ones, bringing a fresh artistic edge to the ad world, and most recently wrote and created a commercial with Anthony Edwards for Foot Locker and Adidas.

Lex’s art explores the space between reality and imagination, blending photography, collage, fashion, and experimental printing techniques. Fueled by a passion for people, self-expression, and pushing creative boundaries, their work delves into diverse expressions of identity. Lex has held solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Long Island, the High Line in NYC, and during World Pride. They have also been featured in group shows, including exhibitions with Lehman College at La MaMa Galleria and with The Raw Beauty Project at ACA Galleries in New York City. Their work was highlighted in NBC’s article “12 queer artists whose work is making us pay attention.”

Lex and their wife Kelsey share a love for adventure and creativity, traveling the globe and drawing inspiration from their experiences along the way.
